Restaurant Cottage in Heidelberg

We enjoyed the seasonal goose offer for 4 people at the weekend. The stuffed goose is so tender on the inside and crispy on the outside, so delicious !!! Dumplings, red cabbage, stuffed baked apples, gravy and chestnuts were also delivered. Everything very finely seasoned, very delicious and plentiful! Big compliments to the chef!

The very tasty lockdown goose with many rich side dishes for 4 people was awesome! We enjoyed it for three days 🙂

We started as a dance couple at the Nuzinger and, because of our passion, wanted to celebrate our wedding there too. We already knew that the ambience of the cottage with terrace invites you to relax and linger. But the accompaniment by Ingo, decoration, service (thanks Charlotte, Sarah + team) and food (thanks David + team) exceeded our expectations by far. We could just enjoy our day until the late hours! DJ Johannes simply rocked the evening through. Thank you so much!

Very nice terrace with great staff but the tapas have nothing to do with the originals from Spain. But you're not alone in Heidelberg. That's why it's not so wild ...

Very nice location with parking. The menu, wine/sangria, and cooking must be reviewed urgently to survive. It has only the name of tapas, but nothing to do with tasty, fresh, and attractive food. Some pictures already illustrate it. Very flat and seems to come out of freezer with microwave heatup. I will not go back until a good cooker with feelings for quality replaces the actual one. I am sorry for the service, but their job is in danger.

I have seldom seen a restaurant that looks so high quality and elegant in almost every corner as this one. The staff are reliable and the chef is really a cool sock. At first I was visiting alone and the second time I knew that my entire family would have a warm place there

The terrace offers great seating, surrounded by a beautifully landscaped and well-kept garden. The service is good and super friendly. All of this deserves 5 stars. The main reason for the 3 star rating is simply the food, which is the largest part of a restaurant rating. Here, the cottage, even with the reduced selection due to Corona, could not currently score. The Maltese menu was unspectacular and not the hoped-for culinary delight. The main course was particularly disappointing, a dry chicken breast with corn & zucchini vegetables, rice and a little paprika sauce. Think that's better than mediocre.

We celebrated our wedding in the Cottage restaurant in January and were thoroughly satisfied. We felt very comfortable during the preliminary talks and all our wishes were taken into account. The wedding itself exceeded our expectations. The location is beautiful and despite the January cold we were able to spend a good time on the terrace under the large umbrellas with homemade mulled wine and punch. When decorating our wishes were taken into account and it was beautifully covered. The food was delicious and the team was extremely friendly, very attentive and child-friendly. In this way again a big thank you to the whole cottage team.

We've celebrated my sister's wedding at the Cottage in Heidelberg recently and everything was just perfect. The staff was very friendly and set up the tables beautifully, they were helpful and kind and very child friendly, attentive and fun. The food was amazing both the meat and the vegetarian options. They honestly cared about all of us and made us feel very welcome. I would always recommend it! Thank you team!

I go to the dance school attached to this building and I once drank a Coca-Cola here and it was good.

Dishes arrived very slowly, in a mixed strange way so that some people received their food when others had already finished (their main dish). The food quality was alright but still didn't match the high prices, whereas the food didn't arrive very warm in some cases. The server was annoyed and yelled at harmless kids from other tables, who ran in and out, even though nobody around seemed to complain. When we asked to pay, he said: "meine hubsche Kollegin kommt sofort". Need I say more? Edit: I cannot reply to the response but to the question in the response: I was there on October 25, 2018.

Heidelberg has plenty of nice restaurants, this is unfortunately not one of them. The prices are high, the service extremely slow (and not very friendly). The waiters explained that the restaurant was undergoing renovations and training, but if it's not possible to serve the tables in a timely manner, the restaurant should close for the renovations. Charging exorbitant prices without proper service sends a message of disrespect for the customers. And the food? Average (not worth the price, but not bad).

Nice setting but a little expensive and service was polite but a little slow. Drinks were ok, fairly strong cocktails. Food looked fairly fancy but we didn't eat.
